Protect our local environment and turn on Great British Energy
- Invest massively in home-grown renewable energy, using what Britain has in abundance: wind and water. Energy security will stop our energy bills being at the mercy of foreign powers.
- Introduce automatic and severe fines for polluting water companies and block bonuses until water bosses have cleaned up their filth.
- Ban new onshore gas drilling licences - we can’t let the Tories approve more fossil fuel projects like Dunsfold which threaten the Surrey Hills, particularly when a Climate Emergency has been declared by both Surrey and Hampshire County Councils.
- Alex will oppose the expansion of private jet flights at Farnborough Airport.
